Tamarind (midships starboard side Deck 11 - Observation Deck) is Holland America's Asian Fusion cuisine specialty restaurant. As a specialty restaurant, there is an additional cost associated with it. One item on the menu (Wok-Seared Lobster) carries a supplemental charge.
Tamarind is intimate, dimly lit, and romantic in atmosphere. Sharing the same space are the Tamarind Bar and Morimoto by Sea. The service is elegant and refined. The food is as good as any you'll find on any cruise ship, including the luxury premium lines.
