Ocean Bar (midships Deck 3 - Promenade Deck) surrounds The Atrium and is probably the most popular pre-dinner spot for two fundamental reasons. First, Holland America serves complimentary hot hors d'oeuvres every evening before the dinner hours.

Probably more significantly, it's in a direct line and a brief walk to The Dining Room as the doorman passes through sounding the chime announcing each dinner seating.

Ocean Bar has also, historically, been known as the spot on the ship where a combo plays for before-dinner dancing every evening. And let me tell you, these dancers were good! For years, people sailed on Holland America ships just to dance before dinner every evening in Ocean Bar.

Fortunately, the tradition remains, and a trio plays music for listening (and dancing) every evening before and after dinner. So if you feel an inclination to cut a rug, Ocean Bar is the perfect place to do it!
