If nothing else, Lido Bar (midships port side Deck 9 - Lido Deck) on the Nieuw Amsterdam should go down in history as having what look like the most uncomfortable seats at any bar in the known universe. Clearly, the designer who thought it would be clever to have all the barstools be cast metal fish, with the tail of the fish splaying out to provide the perching spot for all the aging and substantial backsides of the Nieuw Amsterdam passengers deserves a special place in Hell.
Not that it really matters all that much since, most of the time, those seats are occupied when there's pretty much nowhere else to sit by the Lido Pool.
And, truth to tell, Lido Bar is less a place to congregate than a spot for waiters to get their orders filled for all those passengers around the Lido Pool and eating at Dive In or the Lido Market.
