The Lido Market

The Lido Market, one of the two principal Nieuw Amsterdam restaurants (the other is The Dining Room) included in your cruise fare, serves Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner in a buffet format.

Before you decide what you want, you'll need to do a tour of both sides of the buffet, because it isn't a cafeteria line; there are multiple stations with different themes and food offerings.

And, unlike a cafeteria line, you don't serve yourself, your selections are plated up for you by a crew member. Silverware, wrapped in a napkin will be pre-set at your table. And a crew member will also take your beverage requests at your table, once you're seated.

And don't forget to save room to sample the famous Holland America Bread Pudding with vanilla custard sauce (only served at lunch, alas). It's delicious!
