Services and Locations

There are always going to be times when you need to get some assistance with an issue or a problem. Here are the places on the ship where you can receive service from the ship's officers and crew.

In addition, we mention a couple of spots that don't fit in any of our other categories.

Guest Services (midships port side Deck 1 - Main Deck) is where you'll go to resolve most problems. If there's an error in a charge to your account, you contact Guest Services. If you need to buy stamps, to change currency, or make change, you go to Guest Services. If your toilet is overflowing or your room key has stopped working, you get help from Guest Services. To see more, click the button.

While you can purchase or cancel Shore Excursions online, with The Navigator App or using your cabin television, you sometimes need to talk to someone about a Shore Excursion - to get more detail about the level of activity involved, for example. And the Shore Excursions Office (forward starboard side Deck 11 - Observation Deck) is the spot to do just that. To see more, click the button.

If you're having such a good time on this cruise that you know you want to take another, the Future Cruise Consultant can help you out. She or he will know about all the Holland America itineraries, and has access to full information about specific cabin availabilities on them. And there are some definite perks for booking your next cruise aboard the ship. And the Future Cruises Desk (midships starboard side Deck 1 - Main Deck) is the place to do it. To learn more, click the button.

There's one spot we definitely hope you never have to see in person, and that's the Medical Center (forward port side Deck A - the deck BELOW Main Deck). But if you do get sick they have a doctor, a nurse and a mini hospital to help you out. To learn more, click the button.

The Hudson Room, the Half Moon Room, and Stuyvesant Room (forward Deck 3 - Promenade Deck) are medium-sized multi-purpose spaces which host a multitude of events, both public and private, including daily bridge games, religious services, and meetings. To see the meeting rooms, click the button.

Why in the world would we have a web page about the Elevators? To find out, click the button.

Club Orange isn't a place, but rather a set of extra benefits for those not staying in Neptune Suites. To learn all about it, click the button.

Finally we describe The Atrium (forward Deck 1 - Main Deck, Deck 2 - Plaza Deck, and Deck 3 - Promenade Deck), the center and heart of the Nieuw Amsterdam, with many photos. To see it, click the button
